    Good times are back?
Shikkar seems to be an instant mega hit after the release. Apart from few unwanted websites like rediff, nowrunning, this film is appreciated by many websites who had never supported lal films (Sify, thatsmalayalam...etc). Shikkar's victory not only opens Lal's markets but takes the level into the class malayalam movies. With the arrival of films like Pranjiyettan, Elsamma, we hope Malayalam film sector would reach out to be its old position. We as Lal fans, should not entertain any actor's film lose crowd's attraction by unnecessary whistling. Let all films get its production cost plus some profit. Then only the classs of Malayalam would come back. I had a request to writers like MT Vasudevan Nair and Ranjith. Bring Mammootty and Mohan Lal in a film where each are competing on their roles like Vaartha, Aalkoottathil Thaniye, Adimakal Udamakal....etc. Let the young superstar and the little stars understand how these supreme actors ruled the industry over 25 years without any issues. The first and foremost is that there was no ego between them (though, unfortunately, was there between their fans!). With a strong come back of Lalettan, I am sure Malayalam film industries would be able to see good films in future.

    Yes you are right
Yes you are right in all sense. Only when the ''good'' movies gets returns ... the courage to create some more will come otherwise we will have to '' masalas' with no innovative and creative talents. Its good to hear ''Shikar'' brings festive season to malayalam cinema

Need to give more attention to writers and directors...
    Sanju,
I think Lal should give more attention in selecting the writers. Even now Lal is giving dates to TA Shahid, Suresh Babu, Murali Nagavalli, Jayasurya etc. But talented writers like Ranjan Pramod is not getting his dates. I know "Photographer" was a disaster, but who can forget Naran, Manasinakkare, Achuvinte Amma, Meesamadhavan etc.
There was no story in "Wanted" and yet again Murali got lal's date for Alexander. Jayasurya's Speed Track was an ordinary fare at best and he got dates for "Angel John" which bombed. More over he copied the idea from "It's a wonderful life-1946" and ruined it. Consider Renjith, I dont know the status of "Pranji" but I think if Lal continue the cold war with Renjith, the lose will be for both of them and malayalam cinema.
As an actor Mammootty will come second only to Mohanlal, but in every movie he is improving. Consider "Paleri Manikyam" while Lal is wasting his talents in acting not so good movies. As an ultimate Lal fan I request him to select different writers and directors.
    Waiting to see Lal Rocking...

sanju congrats u opened up a class discussion forum.
Like this discussion forums must open, like the class of our great lalettan.Sanju thanksssss.Every writers and directors must make a decision that Mohanlal and Mammooty must be only for class heavy weight scripts and that revealation will take malayalam films to that height that any other wood's cant' even think to touch its golden feathers.

hello lalettan fan we are not talking the issue only based on Shikkar's sucess
We are talking abt an issue that the directors and writers should think atleast in giving the roles mammooty and mohanlal deserves. We all know Shikkar is an instant hit by a nice combination and blending of many factors but lalettans character is heavy powerful(not in camera gimmics but in stuff) atleast the scriptwriter did that.Atleast that thing every scriptwriter should keep in mind while scripting for Mohanlal,if the main character is so heavy powerful there is a 70% chance of a above average storyline.Thanksss

    Lalettan and the writers
It is rather unfortunate that writers like MT, Renjith are not going for this gifted actor. Kamal had not directed a film with Lalettan for long (not forgetting what had happened with Chakram!). Heard long ago that he was penning something for Lalettan but not heard ever since. Sreeni's magic is not working as before as one film would be extra ordinary hit and the next two or three would be utter nonsenses! And no report about Lalettan's Swapnamalika where he became a story teller. Any updates on this as few reports are appearing here and there (and that too conflicting!).

Swapnamalika may remain as a dream
I heard that the director is having some issue with Lal. And he wants to kill Lal's character and continue with the movie. He criticised Lal for not co-operating with the movie.
I am sure that Renjith will come back to Lal. But not so sure about M.T. But most importantly it is not about whether they come back or not, but the quality of the scripts Lal acts. Every time after a few flops Lal will say he became selective. But one or two hits, again he is back with same stories. I really like to see scripts like Vadakkum nathan, Ividam Swargamanu, Paradeshi, Thanmathra etc.
