When I thought of building a site as a hobby project, there was no doubt to select none other than Lalettan (My favourite actor). 

History of Mohanlalonline starts way back in 2001 when I first started the site on a free hosting platform called hypermart with the url mohanlalonline.hypermart.net.

Later in 2002 I registered this domain with NameZero a company who was providing free domain registration  by having banner advertisements. Almost after 9 months, I experimented some scripts to remove those banners, ultimately getting the account suspended :). After three to four months luckily the domain got expired and I managed to register it myself.

In 2002, the static website was replaced with a dynamic website written in ASP and MYSQL. Thanks to the members of mohanalonline, who were keeping it active for all these years. 

I started thinking about a redesign in late 2008 but unfortunately couldn't spent much time on it . It took almost 1 and half years to redesign and develop the new site which was finally launched in November 2009.
