    Style or Substance?
What do we fans of Lalettan expect? Is it Style or Substance...? Red Chillies and Sagar Alias Jackie were full of Style but Substance was missing. Thanmathra, Kireedamn etc had Substance. Films like Devasuram had Style and Substance... I personally feel that Lalettan is great becuse of mixing Style with Substance.. But nowadays it is more and more style only.

MOHAN LAL THE ULTIMATE ACTING GENIUS

    Style And Substace
To me, Mohanlal is one of the greatest actor ever borne, So i am expecting the movie which would challenge his caliber and feel like the following movies are in that category, Thanmatra, Kireedom, Vaanaprastham, Iruvar, sadayam, Dasaratham etc. Also i like the movie like Devasuram, Aaryan, Chitram, Thaalavattam etc whcih is both style and substance and also challenged him. But the movie like Onnaman, Thaandavam, Kaakkakuyil, The prince is not at all acceptable and the latest two in that category is RedChillies and SAGAR.

Don't ever say always tht we need films that have only substance actually if sagar was a tamil film we would have accepted it ,I am saying tht we in our malayalam film industry also we need films that are so stylish because there are also a group expecting this genre films

    We need both
We need both type of movies. Sagar was a stylish movie, but the screenplay was the major let down. Else it could have been the biggest hit of the year. Dont expect Lal to come back as the guy next door. We have to consider his age factor too. He is more experienced and mature now. So let him do more complicated and mature roles. If one Lal film fails to deliver thats not the end of world. And remember , it was the movie NOT LAL who fails...
