IT IS NOT MOHANLAL WHO IS TAKING A TURN FOR THE WORST...IT IS THE INDUSTRY, THE INDUSTRY HAS LOST ITS WAY, MALAYALAM FILMS ARE NO LONGER WHAT THEY USED TO BE ..I agree that lal needs to be more discriminating in his choice of roles, but to call him"untalented" is ridiculous. The audience shouldn't turn their backs.. we should be outraged at the failure of the filmmakers to tap his vast potential, and we, as an audience, should express out interest in worthwhile films rather than encouraging rajni style films. When Lal gave his National award winning performance in "Vanaprastham" three years ago, Kerala failed to show up at the box office, and the great film directed by Shaji Karun flopped financially. . I ask this- what does this say about the audience? The same audience that was once known throughout India for nurturing fine talent in actors and film? Think about it.
