Mohanlal fans have more reasons to rejoice year.
Grandmaster could only be the start of the turning tide of Mohanlal, who went for the better part of last year without a hit. The actor has currently two flicks lined up with veteran and hit filmmakers Ranjith and Joshiy.
Spirit, which is scheduled for a June 6 release, will have the actor and director Ranjith teaming up after a gap of five years and is expected to be a go down well at the box office as well as with the critics with its relevant storyline of alcoholism and stellar supporting cast.
The actor is currently working on Sachi-penned Run Baby Run, which is directed by Joshiy. The film, touted as a new-gen flick, will have Mohanlal playing the role of cameraman and will have him star opposite Amala Paul. The flick is scheduled to be the actor's Onam release.
Mohanlal's next project will be P Balachandrakumar's thriller titled Specialist, which will be extensively shot in Quilon
The actor has also signed up two flicks with Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan. The first of these will go on floors as soon as director Priyadarshan wraps up Malamaal Weekly 2. The Mollywood flick will have the veteran superstar playing Dulquer's father.
The acting duo also has another film, scheduled to be his Christmas release, with director Vysakh and scripted by Sibi K Thomas and Udayakrishna fame that could be cap off the year for the superstar.
