Mollywood is smitten by the 3D bug. While a few filmmakers have already announced their projects in 3D, talks are on for yesteryear hits to be converted into 3D. Interestingly, the films which are in demand are Mohanlal starrers.
The latest buzz is that a team has approached the makers of Sphadikam and Kilukkam to be converted into 3D. Both the movies were smash hits. Kilukkam was the highest grosser that year and it established the hit pair of Mohanlal and Jagathy. Bhadran's Sphadikam was yet another hit which gave an image makeover for Mohanlal.
The team has reportedly approached the producers of the films for the rights to be converted into 3D. Confirming the news, Priyadarshan, who directed Kilukkam, tells us, "They had approached me to convert the movie into 3D. Since the final call has to be made by Mohan, who produced the movie, I had asked the team to contact him. I heard they are looking at popular movies from all film industries to convert them into 3D."
Meanwhile, Mohan says, "Discussions are still on but we haven't finalised anything yet."
