Mohanlal bags the Thikkurissi Puraskaaram. Instituted and given by the Thikkurissi Foundation, it was founded in memory of the late actor Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair, one of the most popular stars of yesteryears.

Mohanlal has been selected for the award for his overall contribution to Indian Cinema as a multi-faceted, nationally-acclaimed actor, who is also one of the superstars of Malayalam cinema, will be given the award in a function to be held in Thiruvananthapuram in December.
