Lakshmi Rai will be playing the role of Balaraman's wife, the character played by Mohanlal in the movie 'Shikaar'. 

The film directed by M Padmakumar, a former assistant of writer director Ranjith and has done good films like Ammakilikoodu, Vargam, Vaasthavam. Padmakumar and writer Suresh Babu have been able to impress Mohanlal with their Shikar script and the way the film unfolds. It is a deadly revenge story with Mohanlal playing a lorry driver Balaraman and Ananya (Tamil Nadodigal fame) as his daughter.

The film will be shot by ace cameraman Manoj Pillai in the hilly regions of Adimali, Idukki, coastal Thuthukudi and Hyderabad.
