frankly speaking Tell me fans ,really didn't todays lal lost his old charm .Is he able to deliver atleast a half of the performance which he had shown in the late 80s & early 90s.Tell me frankly .To be frank i like only those old films of lal with sathyan anthikaad,priyadarshan.sreenivasan etc.I think lal has lost his spontanity & timing that he had earlier.what you say.Also those films with padmarajan where also very good lal movies.

We cannot blame LAL for that.. there are several things which makes a movie hit. Like its Director, Story, Script lot of stuff..[br]
I think now a days Mal filim lacks the type of stories which we had in 80 and 90's and even directors lost the skill to extract the maximum from the actors.[br][br]
But how can you tell this watching the movie 'Tanmatra'? have you watched it?[br][br]
No Lalettaa.. you are still the best........

frankly speak i agree lals timing had gone for some days...........i was also sad........but after seeing thanmathra i think lal is back........look his perfomence......he did well in udaynana tharam and naran.........dont worry friend old lal is back............
THINK Good topic but i dont like to talk this again.... But this time i will tell u my opinion. First of all i am telling that dont compare old films and old performance of lalettan with today's films. We cant make that kind films today and in the same way after 10 years you cant make another thanmatra, naran, udayananu tharam, balettan, Narasimham, Aranthamburan. Every film has their own value, but we knows it only after 10 or more years. And the performance of lalettan.... u said his old performance is good than today. You come after 10 years and tell me about Thanmatra, Naran, Udayananu Tharam, Balettan etc.... Then you will know that it was wonderful. Who can in the world act in thanmatra like lalettan did? [b] Why did u not feel the performance that Lalettan did in Thanmatra? Was it easy? Was it simple? Tell me? It was a difficult role lalettan had ever done in his career [/b] .
THINK AGAIN And about the quality of films, today life has changed and people's mind have changed lot. They need only entertainer not a good story. So producers are afraid to make like that movie. You know after the very first show of Thanmatra here in calicut some people were trying to spread that the film is bad, saying it is a sex movie dont go for watch etc. But still it ran more than 100 days here. [b] You know Lalettan's 3 films ran more than 100 days here in calicut in 2005 [/b] . U.THARAM, NARAN & THANMATRA. Other actor's ran only 1 movie. Mammootty - Raja Manikyam, Dileep - Chandu pottu, Suresh gopi - IPS. STil u saying that his glory is not there???? very bad. And i have hope after Watching thanmatra that good films did not die. It will come again... We got blessy now. Another blessy will come next, who knows....
Dont make stupid thinking on your own In my opinion these types of message should not be posted .And in answer to your opinion is that Todays Mohanlal films make more collections and more people are seeing his films .Mohanlal has grown up with his acting thats why he is there in bollywood winning filmfare ifa awards. Mohanlal was good earlier became better and now he is the best in malayalam cinema.So dear dont make these types of hasty comments atleast in this websites :)

hi............... vijesh ur 100% rigt here in tvm ut,naran and thnamathra ran 100.....thanmathra is still going...mamus onlt rm made 100days.....no other filim had ranned 100days in trivandrum...achuvinta amma also reached 100

to lal fans on the topic frankly speaking Hi vijesh sorry to u if i heart your sentiments for lalettan.Believe me im a hardcore fan of lal,so dont ever think that i have any hatred for the actor & thats why i put the topic on this site.Yes, i watched thanmaatra & i liked the movie also,just it might be because im a little bit nostalgic thats why i have more liking for the old lal movies.But to sumi,another lal fan,sorry to tell u that ur response to the topic was very rude.Being a fan of an actor doesnt mean that u have to sing praises for all his movies.A fan should also show his responsibility by expressing his views & opinions about the actor,even if its something bad.thats the spirit of a true fan.
reply I dont understand the fuss u r making ok i can understand ur feelings but compare how even greatest of actor go through bad phase Kamal Hasan one of the greatest actor has acted in mumbai express and Amithabh Bachan acted in lal badshah kohram and many more but again he came back to number one see rajini flopped with baba and came back with chandramukhi so wait have you not seen rasatantram so dont react so blindly without even comparisons so keep watching lal movies bye
