Red Chillies is yet another thriller, with Mohanlal playing a very interesting character. Omar or OMR as he is popularly known is an NRI businessman based in Singapore. He is always on the move, traveling from country to country. He also runs an FM radio station in Kerala, where he has a group of nine nubile young girls working. The group goes by the name of Red Chillies.
The story takes a turn when something totally unexpected happens on a New Year eve. A boy is found murdered in the hostel where the girls stay. The same night another issue is created when a car owned by the FM station is involved in an accident that takes the lives of several people. To say the Red Chillies girls are in serious trouble would be an understatement.
OMR, who is abroad at that time, is forced to land up in connection with the incidents. There are four prominent Police Officers who are after OMR's blood. From then on, it's the cops vs. OMR. Lots of intriguing and mysterious things happen and the storyline is full of ups and downs and all sorts of thrills.
